Dental crowns are a type of restoration that are used to restore a tooth to its normal size after damage or decay. A “cap” made of porcelain or other material, is placed onto of the tooth to strengthen and to protect it from fracturing. Often crowns are recommended after a tooth has had a root canal. Tsawwassen dentist, Dr. Jan Roberts, is highly skilled at placing gold and ceramic dental crowns with artistry and precision to create a natural appearance and feel. Enhancing Your Smile With Dental Crowns
Crowns can not only eliminate pain and restore strength in teeth that have been damaged or decayed, but can also be designed to create an even better aesthetic appearance. South Delta dentist, Dr. Jan Roberts, can place a crown in as few as two office visits. At your first appointment, Dr. Roberts will prep the tooth by minimally removing the decay and part of the tooth enamel. Impressions are taken of the tooth and sent to our high-quality dental lab. A temporary crown will be made to protect the tooth while we wait for the lab to make your final crown. At your second appointment, Dr. Roberts will adjust and seat the crown with cement.
You can count on the cosmetic artistry of Dr. Jan Roberts at Roberts Dental & Facial Rejuvenation to design a crown that looks and feels completely natural. Crowns are typically long-lasting as long as they are maintained with regular dental hygiene visits and quality home-care program. We are proudly serving the Tsawwassen South Delta, BC communities.
